I’m Ney
I live with my wonderful husband, two daughters, and four fur babies (yes, it’s as chaotic as it sounds!).
I can’t live without coffee, will never say no to a cheeky cocktail, love being outdoors, and I’m usually in bed by 8 p.m. watching Friends for the millionth time. I’m down-to-earth, empathetic, and all about genuine connection.
I have a social work background with six years of experience supporting vulnerable children and families, individuals impacted by trauma, and patients in a large public hospital.
While I loved this work, my own experience of birth trauma and postpartum depression changed everything. It opened my eyes to how isolating and disempowering birth and postpartum can feel, especially in a maternity system that often lacks individualised care and adequate support.
Since then, I’ve gone on to have a beautiful HBAC (home birth after caesarean), and continue to advocate for women to feel respected, informed, and supported to birth on their own terms.
a trauma-informed doula passionate about helping women feel heard, supported, and in control of their birth experience.
My Approach
I believe birth is more than a medical event. It’s a deeply personal and transformative experience. You deserve to feel empowered and celebrated throughout your pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
My approach is rooted in autonomy, informed choices, and emotional well-being. I offer evidence-based information, emotional support, and advocacy, so that you feel confident in making decisions that align with your values.
With a background in trauma-informed practice and my own lived experience, I understand how much emotional well-being shapes the experience of pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood. I also recognise how challenging it can be to navigate a system that often feels impersonal or overwhelming.
That’s why I offer more than just physical support. I’m here to listen, hold space, and help you feel grounded and supported, no matter what comes up.
You already hold the wisdom and strength to birth and mother your baby. I’m simply here to walk alongside you, every step of the way.
